Dynamite Beans was a band that Tamako's father Mamedai Kitashirakawa was in during high school as its lead singer. In the band, he wrote a love song for Tamako's mother.[1]

The only song shown from Dynamite Beans is Koi no Uta, a ballad written for Tamako's mother. At the end of episode 9, it is used to accompany the montage. A revamped version appeared in the beginning of Tamako Love Story and a cover version by Aya Suzaki in the ending credits.[2]
