I think many people view Kaoru as a transwoman; however, Japanese viewers of Tamako Market view Kaoru as an ''okama ''(English equivalent of a "homosexual, effeminate male) which I do disagree with. Kaoru is never referred to as any pronouns by the others in Japanese. The subtitles referring to Kaoru as "Miss Florist" is an assumption as Kaoru is referred to as nothing else but "Florist-''san''". This is where the conflict comes in, and hence why I left it unaddressed.[[User:Yunomii|Yunomii]] ([[User talk:Yunomii|talk]]) 19:50, April 29, 2018 (UTC)

Does anyone else headcanon Kaoru as a trans girl? She's so tall and she's voiced by a guy in both the sub and the dub. I'm surprised it isn't canon. 209.243.18.29 20:52, April 15, 2018 (UTC)Rice

Hm, it's a reasonable belief, but changing Kaoru's page to suit so would be controversial and brings up some questions to whether you ought to reflect Kaoru's page on Japanese social beliefs - as questionable as they may be - or suit Western social beliefs. Even if this wikia is hosted with a Western language, matters of reflecting the source material makes it complicated.
